Decoding Dogs is a 3 day course that will teach you how to create, read and use multiple experiments with any dog.
This class focuses on fundamentals of communication between you and a dog, whether or not it is your lifelong dog, or a dog you were just handed the leash. We will be using a normal 6’ leash and a long line at different points in the class.
You will learn very nuanced and subtle signals from the dog, and be able to read, respond and get agreement within a very short amount of time. The key of skill is your learned composure, consistency and how you can experiment with up to a dozen signals each and every 20 seconds. This is where the concepts of the “20 second walk” came from. You learn that the experimentation of signals and communications never stops between you and the dog.
This course is a hands-on learning experience, with some class time, and video analysis, along with group sessions learning to read subtleties of both humans and dogs.
There isn’t a more important skill and knowledge base to learn in order to understand and reach “that” dog. Even if it is your own dog, you will learn a vast amount about you and your dog.
Decoding Dogs is about using this methodology 100% of the time, in order to constantly communicate and read the communication from the dog, in real time. Microseconds count - timing is everything in clarity. This is the course you have wanted to know “how” does Nelson do that!!
Decoding Dogs is normally coupled with the 3 day Art of Leash Handling (AOLH) course (prior to Decoding Dogs). Check the schedule and dates.
